Water Damage in a Daycare Centre for the Elderly
Due to heavy rainfall, the drainpipe of a 4-storey terrace house choked – leading the rainwater to backflow into the 2nd level unit. Eventually the water seeped into level 1 as well. A staff member discovered the flooding the next morning and activated their Insurance and Big Red to provide immediate recovery services.
Considering this facility was used for caring for the elderly, there were lots of furniture & contents which need to be restored as well.

Project Overview
The flooring across both affected levels consisted of vinyl and parquet floors. A delay in restorative action would have required replacement of the flooring. There were many built-in cabinets and other furniture which were affected by the water but quick drying allowed us to salvage all the furnishings.
The Big Red crew removed all standing water, strategically deployed the drying equipment and cleaned the entire two floors within 2 days.
Result
Within 2 days, the facility was back on its feet and operating as per normal.
