Flooding in a Newly Renovated Commercial Building
A fire in a neighboring unit triggered the sprinkler system, flooding our client’s newly renovated office space. A quick response was essential to ensure that the new office furniture and carpets were not beyond restoration.
With minimal staff present, Big Red was able to deploy the necessary equipment rather effortlessly to swiftly restore the office for a prompt return to work for the rest of the client’s employees.

Project Overview
The water discharge from the sprinkler system resulted in an ankle-height flood in our client’s premises. Since the unit was recently renovated, it was only fractionally occupied by the tenants – which meant that personal belongings were minimal. However company assets such as new system furniture, carpets and other fixtures were brand new. The flooding also extended to the subfloor where the electrical system experienced water damage as well.
Our team of restorers removed all standing water from the office unit, dried up all contents and carpets with the help of drying equipment over the course of 2 days. This included the drying of the entire subfloor and re-commissioning of over 90 switches. The office was finally cleaned and treated with antimicrobial before handing it over to a satisfied customer!
Result
Our client’s fears of a delayed occupation of their new office were allayed and Big Red was able to salvage their new company assets with almost no disruption to their operations. Business interruption avoided, new furniture & carpets saved – safe to say that our client was extremely relieved!
The longer you take to restore a water damaged office, the bigger your losses. Contact Big Red should ever the need arise for a quick flood restoration in Singapore!
